Claire Yoga Malta

I was first introduced to yoga back in 2000 and was hooked after the first few classes. I started feeling a deep sense of joy and peace. My body felt lengthened, my muscles relaxed, my mind alert; I felt peaceful.

After years of personal practice and finding yoga to be so beneficial, I decided to go deeper into the practice and started my studying in yoga to become a yoga teacher. I completed my Yoga, Anatomy and Physiology Teacher Training Diploma with Kevala Institute, UK in 2007 and attained my Yoga Alliance Certificate from the Yogananda School of Yoga where I studied Kriya Yoga and Meditation in 2013 and in 2018. Today I am a registered E-RYT 500 Yoga teacher and a member of YACEP ( Continuing Education Provider in line with Yoga Alliance).

My goal as a teacher is that my students discover yoga as a means to improve their health but also as a path to inner joy and self-fulfillment because yoga is a journey of self-discovery.
I believe that yoga is something which the practitioner should hold very dear, it teaches us so much about the whole picture. Both universal and individual. It is a wonderful journey of discovery one which we choose to uncover with our practice, we learn how to grow spiritually, mentally and physically. Yoga is indeed a joining, of all that is external to all that is internal, of all that is individual to all that is universal.

I am extremely grateful to my teachers and to my students from whom I have learnt so much over these years.

"Having Claire as a Yoga teacher in Malta is a true blessing. Her classes are a perfect balance of body and spirit. Once you walk into one of her classes, you leave your troubles at the door and be present whilst you shift through a flow of Asanas. I am ever so grateful to have found such a beautiful space to go to a couple of times a week, where I not only sustain my practice but also challenge my boundaries. Claire’s dedication, commitment, knowledge and warmth contribute significantly to our experience of yoga."

"I became interested in yoga 6 years ago and my first experience with yoga was through a class with Claire. From that day on, I never look back, and I feel very lucky to have crossed her path. Claire as a person is down to earth yet wise, and having her as a teacher is very inspiring. Her style of teaching is very free and creative, and no lesson is the same as the other. Within her yoga class everyone can be whoever they are and that is why her classes are so enjoyable. Claire connects yoga's wisdom to our daily life outside of the class, and through this I am more aware of myself and of who I am."
